Not sure what you mean when you say you push down the "talk" button but I assume you meant the off and on button. If so, the light should only stay on when charging. If it is on after charging you probably have it in sync mode or its defective. When you turn it on, it should blink multiple times rapidly, at this point let go of the button and it will be on...blinking every few seconds. If you hold the button after the quick blinking it will go to sync mode. If you have done as above and it is still on then you need to return it to your place of purchase for an exchange. Yes, a LED can, and will dim at low voltage. This can be minimized by a circuit having a Zener diode and resister, parallel to the Led(with resistor). It is difficult and expensive to get LEDs with lighting capacity (lumens) of a halogen. Adding batteries may be the simplest. You can buy battery devices at radio shack that use rechargeable AAs, for a couple dollars. A lead acid battery would have much more capacity, but they seldom last more than a year in ATVs.

Look at the output in lumens. A 100W incandescent lamp and an equivalent fluorescent lamp give around 1750 lumens. Your LED could be anywhere (expect it to be between 840 and 1600). 60W incandescent lamps give around 825 lumens. Also look at the color of the LED if they have it. 6500K is white(ish). Anything higher than that is pretty blue

Logic circuitry and ucontrollers are not going to be able to drive the LEDs: not enough current or voltage capability. You will have to have drivers to handle the voltage/current. Also, simple shift registers can handle the logic without having to program a ucontroller or programmed logic. I like minimalist designs, so I would start by dividing the LED's into 8 banks of 8 each, except 4 in last bank. This gives 60 LED sub-circuits, with a max of 64. The banks are driven by a high (positive) side circuit, and a low (negative) side circuit. The high side has 8 PNP (actually, I prefer P-type MOSFETs) transistors to drive the banks. So, first PNP transistor drives all 8 LED (sub-circuits) in the first bank, and other banks similarly driven, each by one transistor connected to all 8 (or 4 for the last bank) LED sub-circuits. On the low (negative) side, use 8 NPN's (or N-type MOS) transistors to drive sub-circuit selector. The first sub-circuit in each bank is tied at the bottom to the first NPN, i.e. drives all 8 LED sub-circuits. Similarly, sub-circuits 2,3,4, etc. in each bank are connected to the corresponding NPN. Basic circuit works by enabling single high side transistor and single low side transistor to select LED sub-circuit to actuate. So, 8 bit shift registers are used to drive the high side drivers and the low side drivers. The low SR shifts a single enable bit (logic one) through, while the high side SR shifts a single enable bit (logic zero) through. This polarity is reversed because PNP have reverse logic from NPN. A simple 555 timer circuit can be used to clock the low side SR; use a CMOS one for wider timing range. The ripple out from the low side SR drives the high side SR clock. Select 555 RC values to give desired pulse rate; this will automatically be uniform across all the columns. Use 10 turn pot to allow you to change timing by very small increments. Set up reset on high side SR to reset after 60 rather than 64. You need to design resets and presets to properly start and reset circuits for both low and high side. Set up the LED's in series-parallel for each sub-circuit, perhaps 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 for each column. Many folks like a resistor in series with each leg to limit current. I would try to go with 12, 15, or 24V to minimize current, but depends on ratings of transistors used and LED voltage/current requirements. Get the datasheet for your LED; I prefer to use accurate voltage supply rather than dropping resistors where LED characteristics allow it. Use an adjustable voltage regulator supplying the high side drivers to adjust voltage across the LED's precisely. Good luck! Edit: Chances are, this circuit is not available unless you can modify an LED clock circuit. Perhaps you should google something like "digital clock" or LED clock. There are some that use LED's in a 60 column configuration. They are not going to have sufficient current, but otherwise would work. If you insist on proceeding, first step is to select your LED's, as the design progresses from the drive requirements. You need an LED with a datasheet, as to safely do the series/parallel thing, you need details of the LED performance. You will need to consider how to package the circuit. For prototype circuit, proto-board is the most practical. Once the circuit is tested and finalized, if you want a permanent circuit, you can make a custom PC board. Expecting someone to design and test a complete circuit for free is not very realistic. Without some interest and expertise in electronics, this will be a difficult project. Perhaps you can find a "ham" amateur radio group in your area that can help with building/testing the circuitry.

I've had a fascination with Bluetooth speakers that light up for quite some time. One of the speakers I've really had my eye on is the JBL Pulse because of its fluid motion with the movement of the LED lights. This one from URPOWER mimics that style of motion and color that the JBL Pulse puts out. It's not built as a cylindrical tower, but is instead a small square style speaker, which is actually a little more convenient.URPOWER's Wireless Stereo Speaker with LED Lights utilizes Bluetooth 3.0 Technology. It promises to connect to your device within about three seconds of setting the speaker into pairing mode. Connection was very simple and quick and it amplifies the sound of your mobile device very well. There are very few Bluetooth accessories that I've been able to pair so easily.The speaker appears to be very durable and even somewhat water resistant as all the buttons and ports are covered with the silicone covering that encases the speaker. This instructable might give you some ideas of how you can use inexpensive, off the shelf, LED lights to convert your car, boat or RV, interior lighting system. For about $5 US, you can buy a ready to use 12V LED light. Istarted with an amber side marker light, which included three bright amber LEDs in a ready to use device. My ten year old Suzuki/Chevy's interior light had been on the fritz for almost a year. Replacing the bulb didn't work; the time delay pwb (shown later) was bad, so I had a good excuse to do the LEDconversion. The completed light is really nice. The amber light is easy on the eyes, and yet there's plenty of light to fill the car's cabin.A few assorted observations...Current draw of old incandescent bulb =0.8 ampsCurrent draw of new LED conversion = 0.05 ampsLED Side Marker = Blazer International #CW1586A $4.97 USD**These lights sealed, which adds a few minutes to the job. If a suitable unsealed light is available, the unit will be easier to take apart.Many people will have the odds and ends on hand to complete the job, but Ithrew in an extra dollar for solder, wire, etc...Disconnect NEG battery terminal or pull the appropriate fuse and remove the lighting fixture from the vehicle.Remove old bulb & holder, but take a look at the wiring and contacts; they may come in handy.With my car, the dome light was a bit more complex than some. When the light was working, it had a time delay and fade-out which Iactually found annoying. This added feature required a small circuit board, whichhad to be removed. The sliding switch was still good and allowed the typical DOOR/ON/OFF choices.If you're unfamiliar with how most automotive interior lights work, you may want to pay attention here... Most vehicles use negative or ground switching for interior lights. So when you open the door, that little button switch that turns on the light actually provides a path to ground, or the negative side of the battery. If your light has a sliding switch like mine, that switch is probably providing two possible paths to ground; through the door switch and directly to ground, thus providing light when the door is closed on demand. Slidinng the switch to the OFFposition, simply blocks any path to ground or the negative side of the battery. (More about this in the next step)I used much of the existing wiring, metal contacts, and hardware for the new LED unit. For an explanation of how the sliding switch works, see picuture details.I used hot glue to attach the LEDunit and stabilize wiring, etc...Actually, this was an easy job. It took longer to make this instructable than it did to do the project. This picture was take without flash, and although the three LEDs appear to be separate points of light, the actual light output is very even and more than adequate for the purpose of lighting the car's interior at night. The amber light is pleasant to the eyes too.
